What is an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE)?

An Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) is someone who has passed a product proficiency exam for one of the Adobe programs.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE ADOBE CERTIFIED EXPERT (ACE) EXAM?

  • You can view relevant online training videos or read tutorials
  • You can enrol for a training program (tuition can be expensive)

HOW DO I BECOME AN ADOBE CERTIFIED EXPERT (ACE)?

You will need to pass an electronically delivered multiple-choice test. You can take the test in hundreds of centers around the globe.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PASS THE TEST?

The number of questions delivered and the pass rate varies from product to product but is usually in the region of 66 questions, 90 minutes duration and a 75% pass rate.

WHO OVERSEES THE TEST AND WHERE CAN I TAKE IT?

The Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) tests are administered by Alpine CertMetrics and delivered by PSI Corp.

The Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) tests are administered by Certiport and delivered by Pearson VUE. 

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME TO TAKE THE TEST?

The certification test costs $180 USD,  €135 Euro or £115 GBP. Note: prices are subject to change.

FOR HOW LONG WILL MY CERTIFICATION BE VALID?

Your Creative Cloud Certification will be valid for two years from the date you certified. Your Creative Suite certification is valid indefinitely but is version specific.

WILL I NEED TO RECERTIFY WHEN CREATIVE CLOUD IS UPDATED?

Updates to Creative Cloud products will not devalue your certification as not all changes will impact the skill base required by an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE).
