Are the Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) exams updated to cover the Creative Cloud new features?

There is a great misconception amongst our competitors who also sell exam aids for the Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) exams. They maintain the exams are regularly updated to include the newest features added to Adobe Creative Cloud (CC). However, we have maintained all along that the exams are frozen once released.

If one of the competitor's selling point is the study material in their product is "constantly" being monitored and updated to include the newest features added to CC, they are misleading you on two counts: one, you do not need to know the new features so will be wasting your time studying them and, two, if their question pool is low to begin with, it will mean you have even less relevant study material for your money than they claim.

This is not scaremongering in an effort to try and get you to buy our products as opposed to their products. It's important information you should have at your fingertips when deciding which exam aids to purchase.

In answer to the question does Adobe / Certiport constantly update the Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) exams, we received the following reply from Adobe:

"...it would be extremely hard to keep up with the changes. Plus, from a certification standpoint, they don't need to be. When Photoshop got the Warp command, one isn't suddenly unable to be certified if we don't cover it; plus, all exams cover a small subset of product features and we determine statistically that you can use the product by having you pass a 50+ question exam."

So, there you have it from the horse's mouth, as it were.
